We Need Your Help! Active Travel Safety Campaign from Mar 9 - 13
BHES will be participating in the Active Travel Safety campaign in order to create awareness for pedestrian safety and promote active travel to school including walking, cycling and rolling. You will notice increased signage throughout the campaign to remind motorists to take care in driving within a school zone. Also, throughout the campaign, you will be receiving communications letting you know about the campaign focus. Please see this flyer here for more information.
BHES Family Skate Night - Monday March 30, 2026

Monday March 30, 2026 at Elvis Stojko Arena from 6pm - 8pm.
Please donate $2 to skate! The funds will be donated to the Richmond Hill Community Food Bank on behalf of BHES! We hope to see you on the ice :)

BHES Multicultural Night ~ Thursday April 30, 2026
Hello BHES families! Once again the School Council is getting ready to plan and prepare for our popular annual event, BHES Multicultural Night. For new families to our school, BHES Multicultural Night is hosted and funded by the School Council. This night features delicious food, fantastic performances, arts and crafts from around the world, all in one fun-filled evening.
This year, our event will be held on Thursday April 30, 2026 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
We are looking for parent and/or student volunteers to represent a country and showcase:
- Food and culture
- Visual arts and/or crafts
- Performance (song, dance, instruments, etc.)
We welcome your participation! If you are interested, please follow the steps below:
- Email your: NAME, EMAIL, PHONE NUMBER and COUNTRY to: bayview.hill.es@sc.yrdsb.ca
- All entries must be submitted by Wednesday March 25, 2026.
Once entries have been received, we will send out an email with full details about next steps.

Persian Heritage Month - March
Inclusive Schools and Community Services (ISCS), the Iranian/Afghan Educator Alliance (IAEA), and the OPC Persian/Iranian Admins Affinity Group will host Persian Heritage Month Events in March 2026. This year’s gatherings will feature cultural activities, student performances, light refreshments and an opportunity for students, families and staff to connect while acknowledging and honoring the rich history, culture and contributions of the Persian community.
