Halloween

Halloween will be acknowledged in a variety of ways.  Please note, students are not required to participate in Halloween activities - non-Halloween based activities will be available.

Staff will be providing detailed information to families, however, school-wide expectations are provided below:

  • No Halloween masks are to be worn.
  • No replica weapons of any kind are allowed.
  • Sharing of make-up is not recommended.
  • Costumes should be respectful of others. Symbols or objects representative of a person’s race, culture, ethnicity, or religious beliefs should not be worn as another person’s costume, nor should costumes that caricature social identities through stereotyping.

Special Interest Programs

Bayview Hill Elementary School along with our School Council are exploring new Special Interest Programs for our students and we would love your input! Please take two minutes to share your interests and ideas so we can plan activities that best serve our community.

Special Interest Programs are paid programs for students outside of the instructional day, facilitated through outside service providers. (i.e. Extra-Curricular Programs that are not run by school staff).

All programs will be selected from YRDSB approved vendors, and will run once a week, either at lunch recess or after school, for approximately 35 to 45 minutes in duration. Program length for each activity usually ranges between 6 to 10 weeks long, and prices will be different for each program.

Please use this Google Form to complete the survey. Thank you for your input!
